WHAT DOES IT MEAN                                                'TO BE SAVED'?

​

1.  We are a people that sin...We are all sinners.

     " For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."                                          Romans 3:23

2.  There is a penalty of sin...Hell

     "...the wages of sin is death...(A second death!)

                                      Romans 6:23

     "...the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolators, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone(hell); which is the second death."  Revelation 21:8

  

    "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."  Luke 13:3

3.   There is a pardon for sin...Jesus

     "For God so loved the world(all sinners) that he gave his only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever                            believeth(trusts) in Him (Jesus) should not perish(in hell), but have everlasting life."

                                      John 3:16

​

      "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

                                     Romans 6:23

4.  Jesus wants to save you--Now! 

      "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord(Jesus) shall be saved."  Romans 10:13

​

      "Behold, I (Jesus) stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in..."

                                               Revelation 3:20

Simple Prayer..read..listen...trust Jesus now...today!

Dear Lord Jesus,

      Today  I believe that when you died you died for me.   The price that you paid was the price of my sin.  And today...this moment...making it real and making it personal.  I ask you to come in my heart and forgive me of my sin and be my Savior.  

     For by faith I receive today, your offer of a free gift called eternal life.  I thank you for loving me and I thank you for dying for me.  Today I thank you for saving me.   I make this prayer in the name of Jesus.
