Thank you for visiting us at Chapel-by-the-Sea Baptist Church. Your privacy and security are important to us.  This privacy policy explains our information procedures and the choices that are available to you, the user about your information.  This privacy policy applies to all websites and URL's that are controlled and operated by Chapel-by-the-Sea Baptist Church which may link to this policy unless otherwise specified.  This privacy policy may be updated from time to time, so please check our privacy policy periodically for any changes that may be made.

The Information We Collect

       At Chapel-by-the-Sea, we receive and collect information that you(the user) may enter on our website and provide to us in other various ways.   Information that we collect may be in the form of your contact information (name, address, phone number), email, photographs, and videos.

       We may collect other information that would be non-personally identifiable when you visit our website(s) that may include your current Internet Protocol address and type of browser and provider that you may be signed in from.  

       Please be mindful if you sign in through a social networking site, please check that site's privacy policies.  Information that you provide through a social network site may be publicly viewed by other persons and we cannot prevent that information from further use by third parties. 

     Our website may use “cookies” or similar technology that would allow us to identify your device and location.  This information does not identify you personally.   If you choose to refuse these “cookies”, you may do so from your web browser, but it may affect the access and use and services available to you on this website.

      We may inquire about your personal interests and opinions.  Information concerning prayer requests will be held in strict confidence unless you otherwise specified in writing that it should be shared.  These messages will not be stored on the website.

      Social Networking sites have their own privacy settings.  These sites allow you to control your personal information from within their sites.  Please refer to the social networking sites privacy policies and terms of use.   Our site may contain links to other sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Google Drive, DropBox, etc… Each site may have different information than the information disclosed here.  Our users should consult and carefully read each site’s privacy practices.  We have no control over the privacy notices on social networks.

       We may also use the services of third parties to provide us with information on the analysis of our site.  These third parties may edit, view and control their own cookies and other forms of web analytics.   The use of these tools that are used and practiced by these third parties are subject to their own privacy policies.  They are not covered by this privacy policy.

        We reserve the right to modify, change and update this privacy policy at any time.  Please take the time to review it often.  Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.  If we make changes to this policy, we will notify the user here that is has been updated. 

        We provide a manner for you to correct, update or delete your information.  This can be completed by notifying our webmaster by postal mail or email. 

HOW DO WE COMMUNICATE WITH OUR USERS?

       We may contact you to notify you regarding your messages and/or inquiries by email, postal mail, telephone, text message. In the event of an account dispute we may notify you  to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes, we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

      Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases, and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 
      All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
