Reach Out Teams for Christ
About 6 years ago, our Pastor stood before our congregation and put forth a
prayer request and a challenge. The challenge was to pull ourselves out of our
"comfort zone" and pray for God to show us a way to reach out and spread the
good news of Jesus Christ. That challenge and those prayers have evolved into a
dynamic group of enthusiastic saints made up of four teams of two, called Reach
Out Teams for Christ (R.O.T.C.)
Each team member brings to R.O.T.C. a special spiritual gift, and it is amazing
how God has worked to mesh those gifts into an effective evangelistic tool for the
Lord. Looking at each team, God has truly brought individuals together that compliment
each other for His work and His glory. One team is composed of a husband and wife
who are spiritually gifted in the ministry of reaching out to children. Another
team is composed of two amazing women who are faithful prayer warriors, and another
team, also two outstanding women, have the talent of expressing the Lord's work
in a unique and jovial way that wins the hearts and minds of the fearful and those
who are filled with doubt. Finally, we have a team of two men who are the two of
the spiritual leaders of our church, and whom God has blessed with the ability to
reach out and touch those in need.
This composite group of diverse souls has become a closely-knit group of evangelists
and friends who work tirelessly to do God's work. On the mission fields, spiritual
gifts, a sense of compassion, a sense of humor, and fun are never left behind. Who
said Christians can't have fun?
This group does a lot of behind the scenes work for Christ. The purpose of
R.O.T.C. is to reach out to people of many needs across the local area, and across
the nation. Locally, the teams reach out to people through visits, phone calls and
prayer. Stepping out of the local boundaries, the teams have created a partnerships
with churches around the nation.
Watching R.O.T.C. at work one cannot miss the true spirit of God being revealed
through a spirit of boldness and compassion in each member. The members of this
group truly love the Lord. Please keep R.O.T.C. in your prayers that they may
reach out to the people God has chosen, in the way and the time He has chosen.
If you truly have the purpose and call, join us to spread the message of Jesus Christ
our Lord and Savior. We ask, regadless of your situation or your location, that
you pray for our teams, that they may be successful in enlarging the harvest from
God's fields and lead many more lost souls to salvation through Jesus Christ.
