Youth Ministry
Whether you are visiting chapel by the sea during your vacation or worshipping us
every Sunday, our youth ministry welcomes children of all ages. Each Sunday at 9:45
a.m. we offer a bible centered Sunday school class Mrs. Christy and Mrs. Veronica
are always ready and waiting for children to come join the special tome of learning
the word of God. After a time of prayer, each child is taught how to find scripture
by chapter and verse. Turns are taken reading and discussing the word of God. All
children are given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the lesson. We encourage
children to act, draw, and demonstrate what they have learned. It is our goal as
teachers to introduce every young person to love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Praise God for every young person he sends our way. Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Let
the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven
belongs to such as these.”
Children’s Church
Once the doxology begins to play during the morning during the morning worship service,
Mrs. Ginger, Mrs. Veronica, and Mrs. Christy lead the children out of the sanctuary
and into the children’s church area. Children of all age are encouraged to follow
the teachers for a time of bible study and worship. The older children go with Mrs.
Ginger and the younger follow Mrs. Veronica and Mrs. Christy into a separate classroom.
The more mature group is led in a lesson and memorization verse and encouraged comprehension
of God’s word. Mrs. Ginger has even been known to give out prizes to those who memorize
the scripture during class. The younger group is welcomed with snacks and special
attention is given to the timid little ones. Each child learns a Bible story through
a flannel graph. Sometimes short videos are shown that enhance the meaning of the
story. Each week children are taught that God’s house is a house of prayer. We enjoy
singing along to Bible songs, playing with puppets and all activities that increase
the knowledge of God’s Holy Word. Although time seems to run past us so quickly.
We are always especially concerned that the time is spent learning the love of God.
We look forward to seeing you when you are in our area, and please bring the kids!
