WMU

Not all of us are called to be missionaries. We may not be called to foreign soil or within our countries borders to preach the name of Jesus and His Word. We are called to support these ministries with our offerings of prayer, support and time. On the home-front, there are many, many areas where we can reach people with the message of Jesus.

The WMU (Women’s Missionary Union) of Chapel by the Sea is a group of women, who meet monthly and focus on those things – we pray for the missionaries, who go to all corners of the world to make sure that the message of salvation is heard. We pray for their safety and support them, not only during the year, but with the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

WMU participates in Voice of the Martyrs and Bibles Unbound. Through these programs, Bibles are provided to many areas of the world that do not have access to the Word of God.

During our monthly meetings, we have Bible study. This keeps our focus on how God calls us to live our daily lives and how to reach and teach those we meet daily. We want those we meet to see Jesus in us and that we are in prayer for their needs.

WMU is an area that we can serve Jesus by helping the Word reach those who so desperately need Hope and the Love of Jesus Christ.
